MATERIAL SOLUTIONS FOR ESD BINS AND BOXES
Premix offers a range of materials to meet the different surface resistance requirements in injection moulded ESD bins and boxes.
PRE-ELEC PP 1370 or PRE-ELEC PP 1375
Conductive – Surface resistance less than 10e4 ohm
Black conductive material is the only alternative for the applications where static shielding is required e.g. in transport boxes. The major advantage of this material is low cost together with excellent mechanical properties and good conductivity.
PANIPOL DXH
Dissipative ICP – Surface resistance from 10e6 to 10e9 ohm.
Panipol DXH enables the manufacturing of non-black end products within the 10e6-10e9 ohm ESD range; a preferred feature in EPAs. Panipol DXH is low sloughing and it can be coloured into blue, green and brown shades. The raw material cost of the end product will be economical, because product is used in masterbatch form.
PRE-ELEC ESD 5100
Dissipative IDP – Surface resistance from 10e8 to 10e10 ohm
PRE-ELEC ESD 5100 is natural in colour, so the bins can be coloured into bright colours. Material is clean and it has no sloughing effect.
ESD = Electrostatic Discharge
EPA = Electrostatically Protected Area
ICP = Inherently Conductive Polymer
IDP = Inherently Dissipative Polymer
